Louisiana Music Educator’s Association District IV Website We will be posting information here that is pertinent to the District IV Area. You are a member of District IV if you are a music educator, and member of MENC, have paid your Louisiana dues (click on the link to the left to join), and you teach in the following parishes: East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Point Coupee, West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana Parishes and the area east of the Mississippi River in Ascension and St. James Parishes. Others in surrounding areas may participate in District IV events if eligible and have the permission of the District Director. Attention: There have been some changes for Vocal Large ensemble festival. The festival location and dates will stay as posted at First Baptist Church. However due to the fee increase there and some other expenses, we will have to add a site fee of 50.00 to the entry price. This means that the minimum will be $170.00 per group. 100 for the entry, 50 for site fee and 20 for recording fee. We took an email vote on this and it was fairly close but this option won out. The entry form on this site will have those fees listed. Please use this form. Forms will still be mailed to Sherry Shelton. Dates for all District Events are here in word format. This will also be in the Louisiana Musician. I have gotten quite a bit of Vocal information for next fall. It is all posted now on the Choral Information page.
